Google Has An HTC Dream Just for Developers

Google and HTC have recently launched a new version of the HTC Dream, this one aimed not at consumers but at developers. The goal here is to give developers something to test out their new applications on without dealing with the SDK emulator or forcing them to have access to T-Mobile.
There are a few interesting things about this developer-dedicated Dream. First, it has completely unlocked GSM/UMTS and bootloader, giving developers full access to all hardware while still using the same specifications as a phone sold to a customer would. The Dream doesn’t feature the restricted bootloader or the carrier lock that one would find on the T-Mobile G1.
Want a developer Dream? Well, you have to purchase it directly from Google, and it will cost you $399.99. There’s a one-per-person limit, and you also have to pay the $25 application fee for the Android Marketplace as well. Still, you get a Dream that gives you access to just about everything and new options for testing out your applications.
