T-Mobile Doing Market Testing on HTC Magic Names

Apparently T-Mobile has decided it doesn’t like the name G2 for the U.S. release of the HTC Magic/HTC Sapphire.  They’ve started doing some market testing for a few new names, but, well, so far G2 is looking pretty good.  Some of the names we’ve heard include “T-Mobile Genius 3G with Google,” “Prism 3G with Google,” and “myTouch 3G with Google.”  Those are certainly different, but they aren’t that amazing (especially not myTouch!).  The name “T-Mobile G3” was also mentioned, which is very interesting since that would mean they plan on naming something else the G2 or they’re going to skip over that name.  We’ll let you know what name T-Mobile settles on once it’s announced.
