Vodafone stores and the Phones 4u Call Centres have both reported excellent sells of the HTC Magic.  While stores have sold a number of handsets since its release on May 1, the majority have actually come from the call centres, which has been somewhat surprising to Vodafone employees.  As it turns out, one call centre employee noted that about three out of every eight or so orders was for a HTC Magic.   While customers are certainly interested in looking at the device in the stores, they so far aren’t buying as many of them.  One reason for this may be the fact that customers get a discount if they purchase a contract online.
