Forget all those rumors about Android being delayed until 2009, as the latest rumors have T-Mobile offering pre-orders on the HTC Dream in September. That's right, the HTC Dream might just be available for pre-order on September 17th for $150. They expect an October launch for the HTC Dream.

Sources say this price might just be for existing T-Mobile customers. The HTC Dream will reportedly ship in three colors: Black, White and Brown. Here's an odd note, the report states that users must have a Google Gmail account for the phone to work.

According to The China Post, the HTC Touch Diamond will debut this month on Sprint. The Touch Diamond has already gone through the motions with the FCC and photos of the Sprint branded Touch Diamond have surfaced in the past. This is the first we're hearing of an August release. The Android OS has been very anticipated and there have been reports that it's been delayed until next year. Now comes word from both Google and HTC that the first HTC phone based on the Android OS will hit shelves before the end of 2008. Everything we are reading says it could be HTC Dream.

Stay tuned for complete coverage of the HTC Dream here at Everything HTC. Discuss HTC Dream in our HTC Dream forums.

The first ROM that shipped with the HTC Touch Diamond disabled support for the 850MHz band. HTC has just released a ROM update for North American customers that unlocks the 850MHz band. This is the EDGE band used by AT&T here in the US.

You'll still need to pay big bucks to secure an HTC Touch Diamond, but this new ROM makes it usable in the US. We have yet to hear of an official release date for the Touch Diamond here in the US.

The HTC Diamond, no doubt named for it's diamond like shape, is getting a bit of a makeover. The new HTC Diamond, codenamed Victor, loses the angled back for a new flat back.

A number of sites have gotten their hands on the upcoming HTC Touch Diamond and provide in-depth reviews of the HTC Touch Diamond. The latest coming from MobileTechReview.

They were very impressed with the build and design of the device, despite it being a magnet for fingerprints. TouchFLO 3D was termed "fun and interesting, though it doesn't translate into more efficient and expedient UI". The internal GPS has full support for Google Maps, WIndows Live Search and more importantly real time navigation software apps made by CoPilot and the like. Battery life was tested using EDGE. The European version does not support US 3G networks. We fully expect HTC to ship a 3G supported HTC Touch when it eventually gets picked up in the US. Complaints were minimal, with the reviewer suggesting TouchFLO 3D needs tweaks to improve usability. Hopefully, HTC will address these issues before the US release. For more information, check out their comprehensive review.

According to regional HTC GM Kevin Chen, we can expect to see Windows Mobile 7 on devices in Q1 of 2009. HTC's current roadmap is to deliver a Windows Mobile 7 powered device by Q1 of 09'. Chen also confirmed the company is working on an Android OS Google phone for Q4.
