Default Localizing Weather Tab

Hey all,
I was surfing the net, looking for a resource to customize the weather tab, since none of the major cities (with no states listed?) were near me.
I found one post, on a different site (which isn't as cool as everythinghtc.com ) that didn't seem to help.

i followed the directions, step by step, and now I can't get ANY weather. after attempting to download data, i get the 'Unable to retrieve data for selected city. Select here to retry.' error.

Anyone know a fix?

p.s. as a longtime reader of everythingq.com, i'm glad this site is up and running!

The file that contains all the listing for cities is in an XML file. Its named "HH_409_Weathercities.XML" or something close to that. You need to edit that file and add the city you wish to get the weather for. The key is to follow the same format. Copy this file to your local hard drive and edit the file.

What I did was merely take a US City, that I didnt care about (live in maine so Dallas wasnt important to me) and replaced the city name with what I want, and changed the State from TX to the state I wanted. then I cut and pasted that line to place the city in alphabetical order.

Replace the XML file on your HTC and then you should be able to find the city and get your weather.
